Cycling 3000km to raise funds to support those with mesothelioma cancer

Auckland

Kia Ora, as a scientist, I have been involved in investigating hazards caused by asbestos exposure in NZ and the pacific islands. Last year, we created a charity, Mesothelioma Support and Asbestos Awareness Trust to support those with a rare and incurable disease called mesothelioma (a type of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos). My husband and I will be riding 3000km from Cape Reinga to Bluff to raise funds and awareness. I am a terrible cyclist ! Please support us to help our members. Thank -you Terri-Ann

A beautiful sunset  7 March 2023

Over 8 days, we have travelled around 800km and ascended close to 7,000km. We suffered a mechanical failure, a emergency rescue and a damaged knee. But we met the most amazing people both on and off the trial and experienced the most beautiful country. We have raised a total of $10,670 to help support those with a terrible disease called mesothelioma and we will continue to raise awareness to prevent further cases. Thank-you to everyone for supporting - We will be back! T-A & Nick p.s this givealittle still has a month to run so please do share :)
