Cure For Kingston

  • brain surgery

      3 November 2017

As alot of you know, Kingston is back in Starship again, this time he is here due to a large bleed found on his brain after a couple of episodes of loss of consciousness due to jumping and landing on his bottom. He received emergency brain surgery to relieve the pressure from the bleed and is now starting a very long and slow recovery process. at the moment he has very minimal movement and communicates by blinking. We are so extremely grateful to everyone for all the love and support we continue to recieve xx

  • The long road to recovery

      11 October 2017

Our precious boy Kingston is in Starship hospital again. One good thing that's happened since the last time this page was opened; We now have a diagnosis for his illness thanks to the hard work and dedication and endless research done by his parents who have been supported in their research from some amazing people. **p.a.n.d.a.s** or Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcal Infections.

unfortunately the road to recovery has been a long and rocky one with our boy recently suffering from water intoxification (impulsively drinking too much water sometimes in the middle of the night when everyones asleep) resulting in low sodium levels and seizuring. which put him into ICU first in Dunedin and then he got moved to Starship.

This has been incredibly exhausting for everyone involved, not only physically but emotionally and financially, so at this time we once again open this give a little page in hopes of making things a little less stressful for this awesome family!
