From house to garage
Northland
Kiaora
I’m a single parent with 2 daughters aged 13 & 16 who live in our family home which is uninsured due to the state it’s in. I’ve tried numerous organisations in the far north to try and get funding for repairs on our home in which the roof needs doing first and foremost but it blew off with the first storm and now leaks as well. All we were given was a couple of tarps to get us through and promises of maybe we can help. Now that cyclone Gabrielle has been and gone there’s been more damage and I’m trying to source funding so we can look at moving into our garage outside which will be the cheaper option and fastest way and moving into something that is more affordable and upto living standards unlike the house would cost more.
Any funds raised regardless of if target is hit will go towards building supplies and a builder, electrician and plumber.
In order to move out and into the garage where we need to fund the above money for.

So the funds we have raised so far has gone towards our garage and the roof is brand new thanks for the generous donations from everyone. We’re still in need of more donations and will continue to post updates in future. Our goal was to get the garage up to suitable living conditions for me and my girls including facilities eg: power and plumbing connection.
