Dan and Ashlee Gale have been the proud long standing owners of their family campground Eskdale Holiday Park. Dan was brought up there and now together they have started raising their young family here. The holiday park was more than a job. It was their home and a place full of many many memories and dreams.
Cyclone Gabrielle took all of this away in such a short space of time. The mammoth task ahead to recover and regroup requires all the types of support we can give. Although they have some insurance, the loss of income is having a significant impact and immediate financial relief is needed.
Ashlee and Dan were the first to alert many around them to the on-set of the cyclone and potential flood risk. As a result they have no doubt saved many lives by those evacuating prior to the entire valley they live in being inundated with flood waters, silt and forestry slash.
The family now have no home or income and require all the support we can give to get them through this tough time. They are a very generous and loving family, so please show your support in their time of need.

I just want to start by saying a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to this page. It is not something we ever thought we would need and it took a lot for us to be comfortable accepting this sort of help.
It has now been almost 7 weeks since Cyclone Gabrielle changed our lives. In this time we have been through all of the emotions, celebrated birthdays and small wins, and started to process the grief of the things we have lost.
We have managed to find a place that we will be able to call home and we plan on using these funds to help furnish it. We have just ordered some new beds, and thanks to your generosity, we were able replace exactly what were able to get them brand new.
The girls are also able to continue with their after school activities, which is so important to them, to keep as much normality as possible.
I'm not sure what else to say as I am a little lost for words and feel a little out of my depth here, but please know that every day we are thankful for you and your kind hearts. You have helped us stay positve and keep our heads held high.
If there is ever anything we can do for you in return, please let us know and we would be more than happy to help in any way we can
