Sorry I completely forgot to come on here and write an update , sadly my brother lost his battle with cancer on the 9th of August - he fought so incredibly hard for so long - the money raised here will go towards a special memorial service for him when his wife Jo brings his ashes back to NZ
Thank you everyone that has kindly donated to my big Brothers page, unfortunately his cancer, since stopping the Chemo has gotten worse very very quickly - we had hoped to get him home but sadly he is now in Hospice receiving palliative care.
Some days are ok for him and he can talk and understand but these windows are becoming less and less now as the days go by.
He will be coming back to his home land but just not how we had hoped.
Thank you once again - funds will now go towards funeral costs for Dan.
So as you know from my initial page my Big Brother has Multiple Myeloma - he has put up a massive fight to try and keep it at bay undergoing the very best the USA has to offer for treatment .... a wee while ago he had Immunotherapy done, his last chance at maybe slowing this cancer down. Sadly, this hasn't worked and he has decided enough is enough and as quality has out-ruled quantity, he would really like to enjoy his moments on this earth and to be able to see his family here in NZ. He doesn’t know how long he has left ;it could be weeks it could be months it might even stretch a year - nobody knows. To make this trip happen I need your help please.
We would love him to be able to take beautiful memories back of his family and of Aotearoa; his home land.
