    Here is a wee note from Danielle:

    Yes, we have been so blessed, and we appreciate every little cent and all the kind words of support and encouragement.

    With Ben being off work for multiple weeks, the money has ensured we were able to pay our home rent and also our accomodation, food and petrol costs for the month we were in Auckland.

    Kassy Bean is happy and healthy and doing an excellent job. I’m now able to go whole days, doing jobs, and activities without needing to rest. The difference already is amazing, I feel so lucky and so thankful to my donor and their family 🙏🙏🥰🥰😍♥️💚🍀

    Danielle has been home for a couple of weeks now and is setting into her new life with a new kidney. She is feeling great and everything is going super well 😊. On behalf of Ben, Danielle and I, we would like to thank you all for your generous contributions, love and support during this time. It has been amazing and overwhelming and words cannot express how grateful we are.

  • Danielle's out of hospital!

    Danielle was discharged from hospital on Thursday 13 October, 4 days after her transplant. Ben has been taking care of her while she recovers in Auckland. She is required to visit the hospital every morning for blood tests and to be weighed and checked. The last of her sutures were removed this morning. Kidney function has improved to where it is better than when she was first diagnosed with kidney disease! She is feeling pretty good, but gets a little bit tired. We would like to thank each and every one of you who have donated - words cannot express how grateful we are.

    Danielle is still doing well. She has showered and been for a walk. Her IV fluid line is out and her kidney function has gone from under 5 to over 50 which is great news
