Dave is a rehomed Great Dane of 3-1/2 years with multiple health problems, some ongoing.
Hawke's Bay
Dave was rehomed in October 2017 from a lovely Wellington family who could no longer have him. When he was around 6 months old his original family had him sent to Massey for scans and X-rays where it was found he had possible narrowing of the spinal cord, causing him to walk strangely and fall over. He was to eventually return to Massey for an MRI, but then He moved to Hawkes Bay to a forever home with his new owners.
In June 2018 he had an injury to his foot which has been causing ongoing problems. The foot us still not healing and may need another operation in the next 6 weeks. Then he has recently been diagnosed with possible bladder stones.
Vet bills are now into $1700 and mounting. We are hoping to raise some of these funds to ensure a comfortable life for him.
He's has a beautiful temperament and deserves a happy life.
If anyone could spare a few dollars to help Dave out, it would be much appreciated.
Funds will be used to pay ongoing vet bills. Any excess will be donated to Great Dane Rescue and Rehoming in New Zealand.
