Support Hisae Lynch and family with expenses towards David's funeral
Auckland
David Lynch is a much loved husband, father, grandfather, friend and teacher of Aikido. He passed away on September 4 and we will remember him at a memorial service in Auckland on Sunday 17 September.
David and Hisae Lynch established Aikido in New Zealand in 1965. During his 18 years living and working Japan, David trained under leading Japanese masters Gozo Shioda, Koichi Tohei, Kisshomaru Ueshiba Doshu, Kenji Shimizu and others. Over nearly 60 years of practice David shared his knowledge, skill and love of Aikido with many hundreds of people and worked tirelessly to promote the art form.
We are raising funds to help with the funeral expenses. Please support Hisae and her family and help us celebrate the life of this wonderful man.
I trained Aikido under David's instruction for almost 30 years. I am dojocho of Koshinkai Aikido.
