I have been selected for a NZ rowing team, please help me out!
Canterbury
Hi Guys!
I have recently been selected into the under21 NZ rowing team, to compete in Sydney this year in a coxless pair.
I have only been rowing for 2 years, as I started later than most in my last year of school. Even though it has not been long I have found a passion for the sport and want to continue working hard to see how far I can get.
I have had some great successes in my rowing so far but in my most recent summer rowing season I had multiple injuries, and struggled with glandular fever for months. I seemed to have bad luck after bad luck, but I stuck at the rowing at finished the season rowing and competing for Southern RPC.
I didn't even think I would make it to the trials for this team, let alone get in so that is a great personal accomplishment for me.
However getting into the team does come with costs ($3000) and although it may not be as much as some other teams it is still a lot to pay. My farming family from Cheviot has struggled more than usual this year with the drought, as North Canterbury has recorded the lowest rainfall since 1972.

So if you can help out with any donation at all - big or very small, I will be extremely grateful for the help you have given me to achieve my goals of rowing for NZ.
Thankyou!
