Sponsorship for students at DCT Mvumi Secondary School

  • COVID changes

    With the COVID pandemic has come a number of changes. David and I are now in New Zealand where we continue our roles as Trust Representatives remotely.

    The Mvumi Trust has employed a new Tanzanian Trust Assistant in Mvumi, a recent Chemistry graduate from Dodoma University, who had been a Trust sponsored student at the school. The Headmaster has graciously allowed his secretary to also be the Trust Supervisor, she knows the school well and David and I have worked with her during out time in Mvumi. We are thankful for internet communication, which enables us to have phone contact with them on most days via email and internet phone calls, although the time difference means that we are "on-call" from 4:00 p.m. onwards!

    We appreciate your continuing support for the students at Mvumi School, especially in these uncertain times.

    We would like to extend the closing date of this givealittle site as we are still volunteering in Mvumi Tanzania, at DCT Mvumi Secondary School.

    We would like to extend it to the end of the year 2020, to enable our supporters in New Zealand to donate to the sponsorship of students, to support the school in this way.

    We would like to make one change to the page, to say that we are fundraising for the student's 2020 fees. I can make this change once the pages closing date is extended

  • 2018 Sponsorship

    Thank you for your donations.

    They have been enough to sponsor a Form 5 student for his Pre-form 5 course, as well as the first term = July - December 2018.
