Deaf Maori Fashion Designer Selected to Russia for Deaf International Fashion Show

Tēnā koutou katoa (Greetings to you all)

My name is Cruze Kapa and I am a young fashion designer with a passion for expressing the beauty of Aotearoa, New Zealand which is reflected through the garments I create.

I am writing this story to share with you my exciting news. I have been selected to attend ‘Miss & Mister Deaf International 2019’ in my role as Deaf Fashion Designer competition. This international event will be held in Moscow, Russia. I am extremely honoured and excited to be selected to represent for the very first of New Zealand Maori Deaf community, New Zealand as a nation, as well as the first to represent my indigenous Maori heritage through my fashion design collection internationally.

My fashion collection titled “CRUZE” has been chosen to be showcased in Russia as part of the “Miss & Mister Deaf International of Deaf Fashion Designers”. The event is on 7th to 15th July this year. It is long to go.

I am asking if you are able to ‘Give a Little’ to help showcase my collection to the world stage, which will be representing New Zealand to an event that celebrates international deaf designers.
