Update- New Zealand Surgery for my Tarlov Cysts Disease
28 November 2014Enter details of your update here Morning, I want to update on my progress of getting this Tarlov Cyst Surgery that is much needed. I have now been offered Acute Surgery in New Zealand, from a very kind neurosurgeon. I am still fundraising for much needed funds for out going expenses that this operation is going to cause. The recovery period for this operation is at least 2 years as I am a complex case. This operation is to get the compression of the nerve roots and to stop the bone erosion, and then once the operation has been completed that's when the healing of the nerves starts, I have been told I may lose function of organs, or walking just depending on the nerves and how they heal. If I don't do the surgery I am going to lose function of organs etc, so we have decided to take the risk and try here in New Zealand as I have become a urgent case with the progression of this disease. If anyone can help me big or small with donations I really appreciate it. We don't get any financial help at all, we are on our own with this rare disease. Thank you for your time reading this and my motto is to keep positive always, Debbie
