    Here are Storms kittens, I found them in the same spot as Mitsy's were in. They are cycling between playing and snoozing as happy kittens do. The vet reckons they're about 5 weeks old and probably both girls.

    We're thinking of naming them Billie Jean and Jelly Bean but if they end up getting adopted they'll probably get new ones. Since they're so young I'm going to keep them inside with Mumma cat as she recovers.

    Getting Storm to the vet has damaged any trust she had in me so it may take a while before she can relax around people again.

  • We Did It! Storm Spayed

    It took a bit of work but after I found Storms two kittens I made another appointment and she was spayed on Friday. I am so glad I could get her done before I go on holiday. Hopefully this means there won't be any more kittens born on the hill while I'm away.

    Apologies for the image quality but Mumma cat is pretty shy and spends most of her time under the bed. If you squint you can make out the two gray kittens she's cuddling with.

  • Storm Was Scheduled for Spay this Morning

    After keeping Storm in last night and finally coaxing her into a cage she managed to get out on the way to the car. I have definitely lost any trust she had in me. I will be going on holiday this Friday so I doubt I can get her to a clinic before then.

    My plan was to get her spayed before the holidays so she couldn't have any more kittens while I was away but it seems this isn't going to be possible.

    I'm feeling quite disheartened by this. I don't know whether I will continue to try to get these cats de-sexed. Many of them do not spend much time near my room and are wary even after weeks of socialisation attempts.

    Storm was probably aggressive because she was anxious to return to her kittens so I hope she is happily reunited with them now.

  • Scattered Mitsy's Ashes

    We got Mitsy's ashes back in May and held a little ceremony to remember her by a few weeks ago. Thank you for everyone who attended, she was a well loved cat.

  • One Done! :D

    Snacc got neutered this morning and is finally lucid enough to relax and give me snuggles again. Seems like he forgives me but wait until he figures out I won't feed him anymore because he's fixed!

    I haven't seen his dad Mr Bonezone around but hopefully he's alright. Storm isn't hanging around as much but that is to be expected from a busy kitty mum.

  • Storm Had Kittens

    Storm has had her kittens and they must be somewhere nearby as she is hanging around outside my window a lot. In other news one of Storm's oldest kittens has been recently named Snacc. He is very snuggly and has got to the point where he will let me pick him up and shows up regularly so it's time to get him neutered. Snacc has an appointment for tomorrow morning, wish him luck!

  • Storm Caught in Paper Bag

    Due to the amount of litter around Storm was caught in this paper bag and only just got it off. These cats are clearly getting into the bins and they need to be more secure.

  • Found Mitsy's 2nd Litter!

    We found these five little cuties down a hillside because they were mewing very loudly. They are probably very hungry because their mummy wasn't there to look after them.

    There are three black and white ones and two black ones. We've taken them to the SPCA so they should be in good hands. <3

  • Mitsy/Mitski Put Down

    Due to the 5+ fractures in her pelvis and femur that she got when hit by a car, the kindest option was to put down Mitsy. We will update people on a date for when we scatter her ashes. I'm missing her on my windowsill already and I hope her kittens are safe.

  • Kitten With Plastic on Neck

    Here is an image from about a month ago when on of Storm's kittens got a plastic drink lid caught around its neck and it's hiding on a curtain rail. This is likely because it was rummaging through the rubbish bins looking for food. Donations would help us care for these kittens by getting food to help lure them, having the equipment to catch them, and being able to take them to a vet when necessary.
