St Paul’s Napier Destroyed by fire

St Paul's church Napier, a much loved church in Napier has been severely damaged by fire on 26/10/26. A building with a long history in Napier, providing a home for its congregation and also a large number of community groups. This building holds so much of our shared history and so many deeply personal memories. We think of the many people who had their weddings there or loved ones funerals and even their children christened. But the connection goes wider than this, to the community of Napier, the doors have been open to the community for musical events and much, much more. The church has impacted many people over its long life. We, in Napier need this building in the centre of our city.

The church is insured but this will only partially cover the cost of demolition and rebuild.
