We want Future Classic Vol 2!! Deva Mahal EP Fundraiser

Composer and producer Deva Mahal has spent the last few years back in her home away from home, Aotearoa, to delve deeper into her craft and further connect not only with herself as an artist, but also the wealth of creative and musical minds in her community.

Mahal’s most recent project (Future Classic: Vol 1 - Classic), co-produced with Ōtautahi (Christchurch) born Chris Wethey, passionately channeled the heartbreak of the current racial violence and political injustices of her country of origin (Hawaii), the eternal endeavour to search for true love and self-worth, and her emboldened sense of the sensuality, softness and power as a Black woman.

Making music is a beautiful and complex process, and getting that music to the people who want to hear it perhaps even more so.

Music is what encourages, uplifts and empowers so many of us, because of this we're here to ask everyone to 'give a little' to help Deva on the next chapter of her journey as an artist.

Making music takes a village, luckily we have one.

Deva has been working on her next EP, with hopes to continue her travels and head to the UK to begin recording highly anticipated Future Classic: Vol. 2. All proceeds from this give a little will go towards getting Deva and Chris over to the UK so they can bring the next stage in their vision to life.
