Devastating house fire leaves Whanganui family with nothing.

Last night, 19/10/24, a devastating fire destroyed my sister-in-law’s home, leaving her and her children with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

They lost everything—furniture, appliances, cherished memories, and even her children’s school uniforms. The home was insured but all the special objects and memories belonging to Timmins’ late parents were also now gone.

With two dogs to care for as well, the emotional and financial toll of this disaster is unimaginable. She has no parents to turn to for support, and right now, she is overwhelmed with the uncertainty of how to rebuild her life.

We are urgently seeking funds to help her family recover from this life-altering event.

The funds will provide immediate relief, allowing them to secure temporary housing, buy essential clothing, and replace basic necessities like food and hygiene items.

We also want to ensure the children can continue attending school without disruption, with supplies and clothes to carry them through this tough time. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring them one step closer to regaining stability and rebuilding their lives after such a heartbreaking loss.
