Di & Brooklyn

$46,079 donated
Given by 651 generous donors in one year

To help financially support both Diana & Brooklyn to receive the best care & treatment for their respective medical conditions.

Wellington

On the 2nd March 2018 beautiful baby Brooklyn was born prematurely to Diana Sevealii at Auckland Hospital having been diagnosed with a serious heart condition. During the pregnancy Diana became aware of some of her own health issues and shortly after Brooklyn's birth she was tragically advised by Doctors that she had contracted cervical cancer.

Three weeks ago she received the news that the cancer was inoperable and that at the age of 36 Diana's condition was terminal.

Clearly as a family we are devastated at potentially losing our precious Di at such a crucial time especially with the challenges Baby Brooklyn will face in the oncoming months and years.

We are a proud family of faith and together with Di have braced ourselves to fight this cancer with all our might and resources but we also know that we cannot do this alone. The financial considerations around Di's ongoing treatment combined with the care for Brooklyn's needs are almost overwhelming but we are determined as a family to go to any lengths to ensure both get the care and support they both desperately need.

Hence why this platform has been created to provide a space for those who want to help. Already we have been overwhelmed with a great outpouring of help from family and friends and for this we are humbly appreciative.

If in reading this you are in a position to help we would appreciate any contribution small or large to help us face these challenges. With much appreciation

We Love you Di  21 May 2018

Last night on the 20th May 2018, 7.30pm, our sister, Diana Ai Toreka Seveali'i passed away peacefully, at The Mary Potter Hospice, Wellington. She was surrounded by her family.

These past few months have been unbelievably challenging for us, but with support from friends, family and people we haven't met before from, not only within New Zealand but around the globe, we THANK YOU for your constant LOVE.

Our family is broken, but we rejoice in the fact that Diana is no longer in pain and her legacy is alive in Baby Brooklyn.

We will reflect and celebrate her life with a Family Service this Thursday evening 24th May, at Porirua Elim Church, starting at 6.30pm. Her Funeral Service will follow the next day, Friday, 25th May at the same venue starting at 10.30am.

Diana will be resting at Porirua Elim Church from this Tuesday morning, until Friday.

We wish to relay Diana's request that there be no Fa'asamoa protocols throughout the week.

We look forward to celebrating the life of Diana with you all.

Love you

The Seveali'i Family
