Hi Beautiful People,
Thank you all so much for your amazing generosity. It is really helping Lee until we sort something more permanent for her where proper physiotherapy recovery can commence. We find out about a rental applied for this coming week, fingers crossed for us everyone 🤞.
We are currently in a disabled unit in a Picton motel sourced via Lee's wider support network. We are enormously grateful for the great rate given. Lee reports this space is so much easier for her to move about in. It has a wet floor bathroom with toilet, large & much easier for her to manoeuvre her walker in than the unit in Nelson. On our first night here she cooked a delicious meal for us (see image).
It was important to Lee to get back to Picton where her church is, her dear friend John & future potential home. Having a longer term base allows the next phase of Lee's recovery to start - it doesn't happen while in short term accommodation.
I took Lee to her local church this morning where John also attends. John brought over bacon, tomatoes, eggs, butter & crumpets so I cooked us a lunch to share after. Tomorrow I will be exploring longer term accommodation in many different forms in case we don't get the flat nearby.
We'll keep you posted on Lee's progress. Your generosity is giving Lee the security & space to keep moving forward in an upwards direction, healing physically, spiritually, mentally. She has much to work through & is much more able to with your support 👏💝🥰🤗😇🐾.
