$1 Animal Warriors

  • Kitty Trapping

      19 August 2026

Sadly a situation arose where an elderly neighbour of one of our volunteers was placed in a rest home. Sadly no one seemed to care about the 13+ cats that were left behind. They have been fending for themselves for a month before our volunteer found out and stepped in. She is now feeding and trapping these very frightened cats. Some have sadly got injuries we suspect due to fighting. But our volunteer is determined to help each kitty into a life they so deserve. Trapping, desexing etc and the slow process of showing them that they are loved again and safe. We will try to update on our Facebook page where possible, this will be an ongoing project for the foreseeable future.

  • It’s Cold!

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far to our $1 Animal Warriors. We continue to work quietly in the background of helping community members with desexing.

Because it’s so cold we are also helping with bedding, kennels as supplies allow to help keep pups/dogs warm at night if they have to sleep outside. While we would love for all pets to sleep inside in the warmth we know that this is not the case for some pets. We don’t need to create millions of posts highlighting what we do in the community a single inclusion in an update should suffice. We are not about getting millions of thank you’s for what we do, so again we work quietly in the background. We receive little to no funding for what we do so currently we are seeking fundraising ideas. Please send us a messenger message if you have any ideas, we would really appreciate it. Six pups are in being desexed today, we are happy in the knowledge that they won’t add to the population explosion of unwanted and neglected puppies. Keep warm and keep those beloved pets warm as well.

  • It Never Stops!

      9 July 2026

Thank you so much to each and everyone of you who has donated so far. It truly takes a village for us to keep doing what we do. Today we have had an urgent plea to take in six abused and malnourished pups. We are scrambling for foster homes as these little ones are living outside in this awful weather. So far we have wormed and flea treated them and next we hope to have them in safe loving foster homes soon. We will have them fully health assessed and start vaccinations. Due to the sensitive matter of this case we cannot yet post details or pictures. But as soon as they are safe you will be able to follow their journey on our FB page.
