Thank you donations to Anna’s incredible in-home carers and the MND Research Lab.
Christchurch, Canterbury
No one should ever have their life stolen from them like Mum's was.
This Give A Little page has been set up to say thank you to Anna’s incredible in-home carers and the Motor Neuron Disease Research Lab.
Without Mum’s carers, we honestly don’t know how we would have done it. These wonderful women came in every morning and night to help Mum do the things each of us take for granted like, getting out of bed, getting dressed, showering, you name it, they did it. And they did it with endless love and kindness. I can’t tell you how much Mum adored these extremely hard working, positive women. The funds donated will help them convert their nursing degrees to be recognised here in NZ.
The other recipients, the Motor Neurone Disease Research Lab, are a specialised team of ten brilliant scientists at Auckland University who are solely dedicated to finding a cure to this terrible disease. We don’t want anyone to go through what Mum has.
I know Mum thanks every single one of you who has donated to MND and this Give A Little page so far. She will have thank you drinks waiting for all!
I am Samantha Swain, Anna's daughter. My family and best friend, Whitney, have set up this page as a thank you to Anna's carers and the MND research team.
Anna’s carers (Vanessa Canlas & Nymfa Mayordo) will be using the money to help convert their Filipino nursing degrees so they are recognised here in NZ. The MND research lab will use the donation to fund their research into finding a cure for MND.
