Please help support these two beautiful mamas and they’re young families with this journey.

Sisters... often mistaken for twins these two beauties have found themselves battling the same form of aggressive breast cancer, diagnosed only a few months apart the news has been absolutely devastating for both sisters their young children, family and friends.
In October 2019 hirane the younger of the two noticed a lump, an ultrasound showed three more but they were deem non cancerous... over the next few months they grew dramatically from 15mm to 60mm and had become unbearably painful. Even with the dramatic growth her new doctor was adamant they were nothing to be concerned about.
May 2020 she pushed for a second opinion, thankfully this next doctor didn’t muck around within the week she had multiple biopsies, MRIs and ct. It was then confirmed she had Stage 3 triple negative bilateral breast cancer.
With the biggest tumours now sitting at around 60-80mm in size and Triple negative being such an aggressive breast cancer time wasn’t on her side she started chemotherapy immediately, a double mastectomy and radiation follow later this year.
After processing the news of her younger sister, Teiria decided she needed to get checked over herself. She was sent for urgent biopsys, mris and within a few days she was also diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. Thankfully for teiria her tumour was caught early she has had a clip inserted, started treatment soon after with a possible mastectomy to follow early next year.
Sadly for this incredibly strong mama she already has loads of experience dealing with this hideous disease as it was just a few short years ago she was walking this path with her daughter shakaiya, while our gorgeous girl is now in remission the shock of having to watch both mum and aunty experience what she had to for nearly 2yrs has really shaken her and she has since developed stress related ticks.
Anyone that knows these two girls will know asking for help has never really been their style however as this is a hard time for all involved I have taken it apon myself with permission to seek a little help from our friends, whanau and local community. Any donations will be greatly appreciated!! Let’s help make this journey ever so slightly easier ❤️
My name is Jenna Montgomery. I have known this family for almost 22yrs, Teiria has been my best friend since the age of 13. Hirane being Teiria’s younger sister she has become a very close friend also.
Funds raised will be shared between the two families to help alleviate any financial strain, help with travel, childcare etc so they can both focus solely on getting better
Funds are paid into a joint bank account belonging to both sisters ❤️
