  • New assisstance dog close at hand

      27 February 2015

Just a brief update on the situation regarding a replacement mobility dog for the one featured in our cause and the article the Eastern Courier last year.

Yesterday Margaret had a first meeting with a Black Labrador that we are sure will be Margaret’s replacement mobility dog.

At this point in time it is expected that Pru will start working with Margaret towards the end of March or in early April. We will keep you posted in this regard

We are absolutely truly grateful for the support that donors to givealittle from the Spark Foundation and “The Howick Club” have given us We also deeply appreciate the publicity provided by the Eastern Courier

    Thank you so so much

    Margaret and Bruce

Enter details of your update here Wonderful Bits of news. Margaret has received a formal letter from the Mobility Assistance Dogs Trust to say that she is now officially on the waiting list for a Full Service Mobility Dog. We understand that this dog will provide all the help that our beloved Duke provided. Also the Executive Committee of the Howick Club has offered to provide any shortfall in funds that we do not raise by other means. We now only have to wait now for a suitable dog i.e. a dog that complements Margaret's temperament, to come along so that a vital service/companionship relationship can be revitalised So now we must be patient and trust that Providence smiles upon us. Thank you everybody for your generous support to date
