I need your help to help acheive my goal of going to the World Championships of Performing Arts competition in Hollywood in July 2018.

Otago

Celebrating its twenty-second year, the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA), the only official “Talent Olympics” for aspiring performing artists, expands in 2018 to create a system of competitions designed to provide invaluable experience and exposure for achieving artists around the world. Contestants must audition, be qualified and invited by Scouts and licensed National Directors in order to participate in the WORLDSTARS International system of competitions. The “Juniors” are ages 15 and under, and “Seniors” are ages 16 and over. Contestants from over 60 countries including the U.S. compete for “The Gold” in dance, vocal, modeling, acting, instrumental and variety acts.

The Finals spotlight a competition unrivaled in the history of performing arts to celebrate…“The Champions of the World!” Agents, producers, directors and others from the entertainment industry are invited to judge and screen new faces and talent! Special emphasis is placed on entertainment value during judging. However, this in no way takes away from the technical aspect of the performances. Judges are looking for that special charisma and marketability that major entertainers have.

Griff O’Neil, WCOPA CEO, states “Sports has its Olympics, and now the Performing Arts has its World Championships! This is the only official international competition program for seasoned and up-and-coming performers and entertainers annually held in or around “Hollywood,” entertainment capital of the world. Countries are represented by delegations similar to the Olympics. It is a rare opportunity for a privileged few.”

I am a 17 year old Dunedin girl from Queens High School, and i have auditioned for and have been accepted in the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) for my acting skills. This competition is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and can hopefully help me acheive my dream of becoming an actress in Film and television. In order for me to attend this competiton and compete for medals, scholarships, and the possibility of being noticed by Hollywoods top film industry workers, i must fundraise at least NZ$8,000 to cover costs and fees. For this i need your help. Anything will count towards my dream coming true.

Use of funds

All the money i fundraise will go towards costs for the WCOPA competition including: Food, flights, spending money, accomodation, seminars/bootcamps. Any surplus will help go towards my supporter(s) fees, so they can join me on this incredible opportunity.
