Wayne's lovely dog Eddie needs some Vet treatment as she has injured her back leg.

Auckland

Over the last few months Eddie has been seen limping which has now made her lame in her back leg. Rather that let her hop along we want to raise money to pay for her medical bills.

This is way out reach for Wayne as he studies for his Masters.

Meredith Brocklebank's involvement (page creator)

I am one of the many people who bought Eddie for Wayne as a birthday present 7 years ago. And as it has been amazing to see Wayne and Eddie's lives change since she was rescued from the SPCA. Wayne and Eddie are both 3 years sober!

Use of funds

The first stage is the investigations and x-rays. The money will pay for Eddie's anaesthetic, x-rays, blood and urine tests and a good teeth checkup.

If the investigations bring up more issues we may need to raise more money if she requires surgery.

After the Xrays  3 February 2017

Eddie has had her Xrays now and she has a little gear in a ligament in her knee. The vet has recommended an operation but because that is $4000 and Eddie is an old lady that wont happen unless she gets worse.

Currently she is on the mend and using her leg more so all is looking good.

There is another issue that we are monitoring with Eddie which is renal problems. Due to her age we are taking the conservative route so we will wait and see how the next two weeks go before we rush her off for more tests.
