Support for the streaker of the All Blacks vs Lions test 24 June 2017.
Raising funds to help pay court costs of the Eden Park Streaker. Any excess goes to the 'Boots For Grassroots' charity. A little about them below:
Why Boots For Grassroots?
The first thing that any player packs into their gear bag is there boots. It’s the boots that make your uniform feel complete. Imagine the joy it would bring to young people thoughout NZ and of the Pacific if we could provide them with their first pair of boots?
Where do the Boots come from?
‘Boots For Grassroots’ will look for quality boot donations both used and new from local players in both club rugby and professional rugby here in NZ.
Where do the Boots go?
Once we have a decent number of boots to donate – we will then send them via courier/freight (hopefully through sponsorship or through networks) or where and when possible take a group to deliver and present them.
Which Pacific Islands?
It would be great to help and provide Boots to all Pacific Islands, however what I plan to do is focus on one pacific nation at a time. If we are blessed to have an abundant of boot donations than we will definitely spread our wings out further and do more pacific nations.
‘Boots For Grassroots’ has already donated boots to individuals and families and schools in NZ. It has also donated boots to schools, clubs and rugby academies in Vanuatu, Fiji, Rarotonga and Samoa.
We will keep you up to date with court proceedings here!
