Etu first represented Tonga 7s in 2019 in Samoa, Adelaide & Wellington, playing 15 games.

He has continued his 7s journey the following years but has always put his family first. With the blessing from his wife Karyn he now has the chance to represent his country of birth on the 2 biggest stages possible, the Commonwealth games in Birmingham in early August and the World Cup in Cape Town in September. Not unlike when he plays for Prebbleton, Eddie is seen as a leader with the Tongan 7s team so he will be a big part of their success.

About us

Edward (Etu) Sunia - Tonga Sevens Campaign. Etu is representing Tonga on the 2 biggest stages possible, the Commonwealth games in Birmingham in early August and the World Cup in Cape Town in September. PRFC is raising money for Etu to realise his dream.

Use of funds

In the post-covid world the cost of airfares and accommodation as well as being away from work for significant periods of time are astronomical. The money raised from this will help Etu to cover the significant costs for him to reach his goal.
