We leave Spain on 11 Nov, arrive in Auckland on 13 Nov - long, long flight.

I am proud and honoured to have been part of the team representing the country. I will treasure the wonderful memories of this trip, which was made possible thanks to Badminton NZ, Badminton North Harbour, my school Auckland Grammar, our coaches, my teammates, friends, supporters, everyone involved in making this trip possible, my parents and family and last, but not least, you - big THANK YOU to all.

    Adios, hasta la vista Espana

  • WJC Individual Events Day 2 (9 Nov)

      10 November 2016

First up was the mixed doubles against #1 seeds Chinese. We were beaten 7-21, 14-21.

Next was singles against a guy from Czech Republic. Lost 16-21, 15-21.

Last game for the day was mens doubles where the Koreans won 21-5, 21-10.

This is the end of the road as far as the NZ team is concerned for we have all bowed out to better adversaries. It was a tremendous experience playing in an international tournament against some of the world's best athletes. Lessons learned will help us progress.

Tomorrow morning I play the Mixed Doubles where we are versing the # 1 seeds from China. Luck will not help us here.
