Horses have been apart of my life from day 1 growing up doing Pony Club, Drafting stock, competing in eventing, vaulting & dressage to find my passion in Show Jumping.

I work in thoroughbred racing, riding track work every morning and absolutely love my job. However I have been unsure of where to go next and am in need of direction... So I thought I'd do the longest, hardest horse race in the world, in hope of a life changing revelation!

The Mongol Derby is a race between 40 international riders over 1000km through the heart of Mongolia. Riders travel on the backs of semi-wild horses changing steeds every 40km. Its you and your horse vs the wild having to navigate the unmarked trail and survive on your own skills.

The coolest part about the race is raising money for charity! I have chosen the Catwalk Trust which is an amazing charity funding research for a cure for paralysis and spinal cord injury. Catwalk's goal to get people out of wheelchairs and back onto their feet is something that hits home for so many of us in the equestrian world- so what better cause to support.

Use of funds

All funds will be used for the entry fee for the race. The entry fee is over £10,000. This covers horse & human medical care, nearly 200 staff to facilitate the race, a custom saddle, GPS tracking & a few days of training. Excess funds will go to Catwalk.
