Hamro Ekata Inc. is organizing a fundraising campaign to support Sailesh Dhital, who urgently needs surgery in Auckland
Auckland
My name is Jharana Pokhrel, and I am currently in New Zealand on a student visa, studying Level 7 at ICL Graduate Business School. My husband, Mr. Sailesh Dhital, is here on a visitor visa to provide me with emotional support while I complete my studies. Unfortunately, he does not have medical insurance.
A few days ago, my husband suddenly began suffering from severe stomach pain. The pain was unbearable, and we rushed him to Auckland City Hospital. After examination, the doctors informed us that he was suffering from acute appendicitis and required immediate surgery. They clearly explained that delaying the operation could put his life at serious risk.
As a wife, standing there hearing that my husband needed urgent surgery was heartbreaking and terrifying. We had no time to think about finances. To save his life, we immediately agreed to the operation.
He has been admitted to the hospital for three days, and today, 2 March 2026, he is undergoing surgery. When we approached the hospital reception to ask about the estimated cost, we were informed that the total medical expense could be around NZD 20,000.
With folded hands, I humbly and sincerely request your kind support. Any financial assistance, no matter how small, or any guidance toward possible support services would mean more than words can express. This is an urgent situation, and your kindness could truly help us in this critical moment.
