Help Nepal Recover Supporting Communities Around Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Gorkha and Dhading
On 26 August 2026, Nepal was struck by a devastating natural disaster in the Rasuwa and Bhote Koshi region near the Nepal–Tibet border. A catastrophic ice and rock avalanche triggered a powerful flash flood, sending water, mud, rocks and debris more than 100 kilometres downstream.
Entire communities have been devastated. Homes, roads, bridges and vital infrastructure have been damaged or destroyed. Hundreds of people remain missing, while rescue teams continue searching for survivors and supporting families who have lost loved ones.
As a Nepali living overseas, I wanted to find a meaningful way to help. After speaking directly with people from surrounding communities, I have chosen to support affected areas around Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Gorkha and Dhading.
All funds raised will go directly to Vajra Arya Foundation Nepal, the heart of the surrounding villages and an important centre of community support. The monastery has also suffered flood damage, yet the monks continue helping affected families with food, shelter, clean water and emergency assistance.
Donations will help repair damaged facilities, replace essential items, provide food, clean drinking water, basic medicine and emergency supplies, and support affected families.
Please stand with our community. Every donation and share brings hope, helps my people to recover from this disaster.
