Enabling Love is run for people with disabilities & by people with disabilities. The purpose is to fund the services for members.

Nationwide

Enabling NZ was set up due to the need from the Disability Community to have a safe, inclusive environment to make new friends and form new relationships.

We have been established since 2018 and we have coffee groups up and down the country and run events as requested by the members.

There are about 200 members, and Enabling Love & Friendship is under Enabling NZ and the coffee clubs are run by volunteers.

We are a non-profit organisation and have a Board Chair and 6 board members who oversee the organisation.

About us

Work with people with disabilities to find friendship/love. Socialising, & breaking down barriers for disabled people to get them out into the community. Set up because the disability community advised us that there was a need.

Use of funds

The funds will be put towards the set up a community space as well as ongoing running costs of the organisation, and members Effective communication series: social, fun get togethers where participants learn some effective communication skills.
