The Board of Trustees is seeking to reconnect with the past students and the community and has approved a development plan for the iconic school and is seeking donations for four projects contained in that plan, that will help enhance and invigorate the school.

1. Outdoor artificial multi-sport turf field with lighting

2. Large gymnasium / performing arts centre

3. School Landscaping Plan

4. Digitise negatives 1963 - 2000 for Recollect TGS

Takapuna Grammar School (TGS) has developed significantly since the school opened in 1927.

TGS has been given donations by former staff, students and members of the community over the history of the school that have helped develop the school.

About us

Takapuna Grammar School (TGS), which is located on the north shore of Auckland, opened in 1927 with a role of 218 pupils. The school has continually developed over the years to today, where the role is more than 1,600 pupils.
