    We've received incredible news from Erik's recent MRI scan – Ivosidenib is working wonders! In just six weeks, we've seen its effectiveness without any side effects, which is truly amazing. Erik feels stronger and has more energy each day.

    We are profoundly thankful for God's continued presence in our journey toward healing. Your unwavering support, prayers, and resources have brought us this far. Whether longtime friends or newfound supporters, your love in action has made all the difference.

    These past three years have taught us gratitude for each day. Regardless of each of our’s current situation, we have so much to give, so much of love and joy to experience, so much to grow and do. Despite challenges, we've learned to cherish the present and embrace each 24 hours with believing. Today, we celebrate this victory, Erik's resilience in facing every challenge head-on and the support and love of family, friends and strangers.

    To ensure Erik continues to receive the care he needs, we've committed to significant costs for Ivosidenib and complementary therapies. Your generosity has been instrumental in making this possible. THANK YOU!!!

    As our fundraising nears its end in five days, we want to express our deepest gratitude. Your contributions have been invaluable, bringing us closer to our goal. Together, we've made a profound impact on Erik's journey to health.

  • Erik had his MRI

    Hi everyone,

    We want to express our deepest gratitude for the incredible support and love you've shown us during this challenging time. Your prayers, generosity, and participation in our fundraising efforts have been nothing short of amazing.

    We've had some fantastic events thanks to the efforts of many wonderful individuals and groups: samosa fundraisers, movie nights, a comedy show, a Fun Run, and fundraisers in Australia and America. Special thanks go to everyone who hosted, contributed, donated prizes, attended events, and shared their time, resources, and finances.

    Looking back, we will always remember the kindness of strangers, the generosity we've experienced, the love that has been shared, and the goodness of God. Life has thrown us some curve balls, but with such an incredible team behind us, we couldn’t ask for more. THANK YOU!!!

    This morning we visited Trinity MRI for Erik's scan to determine if the Ivosidenib treatment is working. As soon as we have the results, we will share them with all of you. We are believing for the best outcome and continue to put our trust in God while taking necessary steps.

    We'll provide updates on the results later this week, and this page will remain active until June 30.

  • Erik went to the Market!!!

    We had one of the best mornings as a family today. Erik felt confident on his feet and joined us for a morning at the Howick Saturday Market. He wanted to get me something for Mother’s Day ❤️ but also felt confident enough to go into a busy public space and walk around. We listened to some live music, had a coffee and watched our kids dance and make new friends. It was amazing….. THANK YOU for all your prayers and love. It’s been a week since Erik has started taking the new drug and he still has no side effects and he believes it’s helping him feel more stable on his feet.

    We couldn’t have done this without each and everyone of you. 🤗❤️🤗

  • We were able to buy the first month!!!

    Thank you everyone who has contributed so generously with your prayers and finances. We got the prescription yesterday for the Ivosidenib drug for $31,200 (1 month dosage) and were able to pay for it today. THANK YOU.

    We should receive it within 5-7 days and Erik will then be able to take one pill every night at home with limited side effects. He will have an MRI scan after 6 weeks on the drugs to see if it is working. We really appreciate each individual’s believing, prayers and sharing of our story in their communities.

    Erik has been reading the messages and your love and support and has done wonders for his mental and emotional strength. He is looking forward to starting this treatment and fighting the good fight.

    In another 4 weeks we will have to pay an additional $31,200. We are so thankful for people volunteering to doing fundraisers on our behalf and are truly taken aback by people’s love, care and support.

    Our advice through this journey is give the people you love an extra big hug and tell them how much you love them. It makes all the difference!!!
