Esk Valley family loses everything to Cyclone Gabrielle

Our good friends Mel and Dave Gale are well known in the community of Eskdale. Known for their generosity and kindness. They have 3 children, Jaime (7), Blake (4) and Nathan (2) who all had to evacuate from their home on Tuesday morning as flood waters took absolutely everything.

They have lost their family home, all their possessions, and Mel's newly started business, a food truck that provided lunches for Eskdale school. Although they have insurance the scale of this disaster will far exceed that.

A lot of people know Mel for the volunteer work she does in the community, always helping others in need. Dave, a sub-contractor who has now lost his income as his machine is unable to be accessed is still out helping other families with the cyclone recovery.

Like a lot of people after this devastating disaster they have to start there lives over again. Any little bit will help and it will go along way for this family to start their new normal.
