Esther's kidney surgery

We all know Esther as a hard working mother and friend who does not hesitate to take on anyone who needs a roof over their head or a home away from home. Esther gives to her family, friends, school and wider community with love and without expecting anything in return. After all the family have been through with young Tom, Esther now faces a health crisis of her own. There is a large tumour on one of her kidneys and she needs to have the whole kidney removed as soon as possible. At this time of the year that means private surgery, which is booked for this Wednesday 6 December and comes at a cost of $25,000. By borrowing and some gifting the surgery is thankfully able to go ahead, however, there will be a loan to repay as well as ongoing costs during the recovery time, when it will be vital for Esther to rest as much as possible for at least 6 weeks. The outcome of the surgery and any further treatment needed is unknown at this stage. One day at a time.
