Ethiopia known as the cradle of humanity is a glorious place to behold. Yoga or Unity of mind, body and spirit is an ancient spiritual practice to awaken happiness, health and wellbeing to all. This project is to create a Yoga Centre in Ethiopia in the southern mountain area with the most stunning views and location I have ever experienced. Attracting both local and international students to bring more peace and love into this world. Allowing a growing knowledge of our Unity as people on this planet and to encourage health, happiness and prosperity to the Ethiopian people.

A place to share and grow together.

The Yoga Centre will also encourage visitors and participants to be involved in Karma Yoga (Yoga of service) on Sundays.

My partner Firezer who is Ethiopian and myself will be directing the project together, we will live and work in both New Zealand and Ethiopia to sustain the project, fundraising to enable the project to continue at optimum level. We will train locals in teaching and business management as well as English reading and writing skills.

Firezer has a Degree in Education from Ethiopia and I am a Yoga teacher trained in New Zealand and Australia. We have a similar project on a much smaller scale here, but considering the population difference as Ethiopia has over 90 million people we are going bigger! We hope this project will create a ripple effect of positive growth in health, education and local employment and contribute to the theme sharing together we grow together.
