Help us evacuate Swar & Musk from Gaza
Nelson / Tasman
Abdullah and his family, including his two young daughters Swar & Musk, have been battling to survive the horrific conditions in Gaza since they were forced to flee their home more than a year ago. That home has been destroyed.
The recent ceasefire agreement has brought new hope, and we now have the opportunity to evacuate Abdullah and his family from Gaza. I’m not sure how long the window of opportunity will be to get Abdullah and his family across the border into Egypt, so I am trying to get the required funds together as fast as possible.
It will cost close to $20k to get his family out of Gaza, we have raised just over $5k in the last few days.
We are going to need a lot of help to do this, but we can, this is the final hurdle to giving Swar and Musk their futures back.
Abdullah’s younger daughter, Musk, is autistic. The living conditions in Gaza are horrendous for any child, but for autistic children it presents extra challenges. Musk has been in autistic shutdown much of the last year, unable to function and develop, as she is so distressed by the noise of the aircraft and the instability.
All parents get stressed and anxious about providing for their children’s needs. Watching Musk suffer and being unable to do anything about it has been utterly devastating for Abdullah and his wife.
Moving Musk to a home where she is able to experience quietness and feelings of safety is going to be profoundly healing for her.

I was partnered with Abdullah through Project Love Brocade in July last year to support him in his fight for his family’s survival in Gaza.
The money will be used to evacuate Swar & Musk and their family from Gaza when the border opens into Egypt.
If the evacuation can’t happen, the money will be used for living/survival expenses in Gaza.
I will be sending the funds to my friend Tui based in Amsterdam who will send the funds to Abdullah.
