We’re trekking to Everest Base Camp to raise funds for the Inspire Foundation and help young people turn big dreams into reality.

8 Mates. 12 days. 130km. One Great Cause.
This October, eight of us are swapping home comforts for hiking boots, thin air, questionable toilets and a whole lot of uphill as we take on the trek to Everest Base Camp.
Chris Davies, Jodine Twose, Matt Goodman, Brent Sturm, Kate Sturm, Sarah Sturm, Andy Van Houtte, and Aart Davies are heading into the Himalayas - and while getting ourselves to Base Camp will be a pretty epic achievement, we want the journey to mean a lot more than just getting a photo at the top.
We’re raising money for the Inspire Foundation, an incredible organisation helping young people across the Top of the South chase big dreams, overcome barriers and reach their potential.
Inspire supports talented and determined young people across sport, education, arts, leadership and the community. Sometimes all it takes is someone backing you at the right moment to turn a big dream into something real.
Over 12 days, we’ll trek around 130km through the Himalayas, climbing through some of the most spectacular terrain on the planet and eventually reaching Everest Base Camp at 5,364 metres above sea level.
Why our target? $5,364.
Because Everest Base Camp sits at 5,364 metres above sea level - so we're aiming to raise at least $1 for every metre we climb to Base Camp.
Whether you can spare $10, $50, $100 or more, we'd absolutely love your support.
Thanks for getting behind us - it genuinely means a lot.
We’re proud supporters and participants of the Inspire Foundation and its work helping young people across the Top of the South achieve their potential.
100% of funds raised will support the Inspire Foundation and its future grantees, helping young people across the Top of the South pursue opportunities in sport, education, arts, leadership and beyond.
