Help fund a publicly accessible AED on SH58 that could save the life of a traveller, colleague, friend or family member.

I went through a cardiac arrest in 2026, and you can read my story here: https://www.wfa.org.nz/about-us/news/fred-and-jills-story
An AED saved my life that night, end of story.
State Highway 58 is one of the key routes connecting Wellington, Porirua and the Hutt Valley. Every day, tens of thousands of people travel this road to get to work, school, appointments and home to their families.
We're raising funds to install a publicly accessible Automated External Defibrillator (AED) near our workplace on SH58, where it will be available to the wider community 24/7 in the event of a cardiac emergency.
Having quick access to an AED can make the difference between life and death while emergency services are on their way.
Our goal is simple: to place a life-saving device where it can be accessed by people working in the area, passing motorists, cyclists, local residents and anyone else who may need it.
Every dollar donated will go towards purchasing and installing the AED into its secure public access cabinet. Once established Wellington Free Ambulance then take over all ongoing maintenance including battery/pad replacements thanks to The Lloyd Morrison Foundation Heartbeat Programme.
We hope you'll help us make SH58 a safer place for everyone. Whether you can contribute $5 or $500, every donation brings us one step closer to having this potentially life-saving equipment available when it matters most.
Wellington Free Ambulance were called one night when I had a cardiac arrest. It was a completely unexpected event, and an AED literally saved my life. You can read more about it here: https://www.wfa.org.nz/about-us/news/fred-and-jills-story
