Cam and Kayla have lost everything when their home flooded in Cyclone Gabrielle.
Cam managed to get the family / pets and documents out , but everything they have lost.
Cam is an Apprentice Electrician and Kayla is a home care worker who has just recently been made redundant. William and Amelia are students at Waikino school .
Cam would give the shirt of his back to help his co workers and its time that we do the same .
They did have insurance but not enough.

The smell 🤢🤢🤢 17 February 2023
I went see Kayla and Cam today to drop off some plastic containers to put the little they could salvage in . The smell and the mess is just yuck. They are in good spirits and have some emergency housing from Oceana gold (thanks Fabian ) . William is back at school and Amelia taking another day to come to terms with things . Will be great for them to have a place to relax after a few manic days . Watching them throw out everything is horrible absolutely feel for them . They are blown away from the offers of help and words of encouragement from everyone .
