Whangaparaoa Scouts - Experience of a lifetime - Jamboree 2023

It’s Jamboree year! And the parents and children of Whangaparaoa Scout Group are determined to support a group of Scouts from our section get there.

Jamboree is an 8 day Scout camp held every 3 years in New Zealand. Over 4000 Scouts attend from all over the country and overseas.

Jamboree brings together all the great things about Scouting and is, for many of the youngsters, a life-changing experience. Their self-confidence grows, they learn about teamwork and leadership, they will learn new skills, challenge themselves, and come away with lifelong friendships.

Of course, the costs are considerable – and we don’t want finances to be a barrier to any of our children attending. We have a schedule of fundraising activities underway between now and December, when the camp takes place.

Any support you’re able to give by donating to this page, would be fantastic. It will go directly to helping our Scouts get to Jamboree, and also give them huge encouragement as they embark on their fundraising journey.
