This January I race on New Zealand motorsport’s biggest local stage, putting everything on the line to take the next step as a pro driver!
This month, I have the opportunity to race a late-generation Formula 3 car at 2 major race weekends with international and New Zealand exposure! Opportunities like this play a huge role in building relationships and opening doors for the future. Especially because I will be the supporting race category to the international series, Formula Regional Oceania - the same series that Liam Lawson got picked up by Red Bull after winning in 2019.
The numbers are huge: over 500,000 people will watch on TV alone, and more than a million people online. I have to be there, performing, putting my name out there so that I can continue to progress as a professional driver!
I am throwing in all the money I have to make this opportunity come off. Selling clothes and the vehicles I own to get there, but I am short of the full budget right now. I have faith that with community and grit we can get there!
Why? I know through my faith in Christ that racing is part of my calling. This was confirmed when I was faster than two pro drivers on my first practice in a race car, and have won two championships since, only having started racing at 21 years old! I must keep pushing to make the dream of becoming a professional driver happen!
I’m asking you to join the team and help us make this incredible opportunity happen and really hope you will join the journey in whatever way your heart feels compelled.
I'd love you even to come visit me at the racetrack if you wanted too!
Thank you for being part of the journey.
-James
