Raising awareness for fallen riders.
Auckland
On August 30th 2019 I came off my motorcycle resulting in a broken neck causing C4 complete tetraplegic, I have no movement from my neck down. I was hospitalised for seven months and released from the spinal ward 25th February 2020. The majority of my time I have spent looking at the same four walls with no ability to move around my home as it’s not suitable for me. A friend of mine named Peter who lives in the Bay of Islands now owns my bike. I have opened up this fallen riders page to raise awareness about the safety of riding on the road. Also to help the NZ trike association with funding towards materials for the engineers to fabricate a frame so my wheelchair can go on the back of the trike also to purchase x2 race seats if they need to look a different option so I can be safe and comfortable whilst I’m on the bike. This also opens opportunity for other fallen riders to do the same. I have a ride on the 26th of September to raise awareness on road safety and I would like to print 100 t-shirts with fallen riders with the wheelchair as the logo. Also Handout pamphlets plus sausage sizzles and a gold coin donation towards purchasing a couple of trikes so I can keep this legacy going in future. I am the director of this page and I would like the funding to go into my account so I can distribute the money where it needs to go.
