Imagine receiving a phone call that changes your entire world. One moment, your child is living his life. The next, he is fighting for that life in a hospital bed.
This is the heartbreaking reality for Muqsit Khan and his family.
Following a devastating car accident, Muqsit was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Christchurch Hospital, far from his family's home in Hastings, New Zealand. He remains critically unwell, and his parents are living every day with the unbearable uncertainty of not knowing when their beloved son will leave ICU.
No parent should have to choose between being beside their critically ill child and earning enough money to survive.
Muqsit's parents have left their home and daily lives behind to stay close to him. His father is unable to work, leaving the family without their usual income while expenses for accommodation, travel, food and everyday necessities continue.
While other families plan their tomorrow, Muqsit's parents are simply praying for one more sign of improvement, one more hopeful update, one more chance to see their son recover.
We cannot take away their pain, but together we can ease their financial burden.
Please consider donating, however small the amount. Your kindness can help this family remain beside Muqsit when he needs them most.
