Look out in the Herald and you local suburban papers this week for our ads leading up to fathers day. We'll have a full pager in the Herald on Sunday. We have done this on an absolute shoe string ! We have been humbled my the many offers of free newspaper space and the the whole ad and images were created for free by our mates at The Pond an advertising agency.

Hello from the team at Big Buddy - we are kicking off a campaign around fathers day on behalf of all the fatherless boys in New Zealand. Imagine what it feels like for a young fella without a dad when fathers day comes round. Its going to highlight the fact he has no dad when perhaps all his mates do. Our mission is to find everyone of these boys a male mentor who will front up into the boy's life and give him just a little of what it feels like to have a dad behind you when the going gets tough, when time are great, when times are hard, for life. We need you help to make this mission a reality , its cost money to recruit and screen the many great men who front up to take on this role, it cost money to match mentors with boys and their caregivers, it costs money to support these relationships. We don't get much from goverment and do the best we can but ... In the end its simple a boy with a good male role model, a father figure in his life will grow up into a fine man able to make positive choices in his life. Our world's future needs these boys to grow up strong and true.
