Feed the Needy this Ramadhan from Just $2 a Day!
Ramadan is the holy month for the Muslims worldwide. Ramadhan is fast approaching and as we start preparing for this holy month and the blessings it brings, let’s remember the millions of poor and needy across the globe. When we fast, we’re in fact remembering those who are malnourished or even have nothing at all to eat on a daily basis.
Almanar Trust is a charitable trust based in Auckland, New Zealand. We’re committed to fighting food poverty and supporting individuals, families and communities in need. As well as providing food aid throughout the year, we make sure that deprived families in Ramadan have the food they need in Ramadan to help combat poverty and nutritional deficiency.
Almanar Trust is fundraising to feed needy families Iftar this Ramadan. We will be distributing Iftar food packs in various countries around the world including:
$2 a day – India, Pakistan, Burkina Faso, Malawi, Somalia & Sri Lanka.
$3 a day – Syrian Refugees in Turkey/Syria border
$4 a day – Iraq and Palestine.
It costs just $2 to feed a needy person. We have set an intial target of $100,000 to feed Iftar this Ramadan.

Process:
The distribution of this project occurs via a working agreement Al Manar Trust has with many trusted; authentic charitable trusts and bodies in the nominated countries. Each responsible body in each country provides a written report supported by photographs of how and where the funds were used. We will then distribute the collated reports via our website and social media channels.
There is much reward in feeding the poor but feeding Iftar to the poor in Ramadan has even greater reward.
The Prophet has said:
“Whoever feeds a fasting person will have reward like that of the fasting person, without any reduction in his reward.” (Tirmidhi)
As this is a collective effort, insha Allah you will get reward for every family which is fed so get sharing with your friends and family so we can reach the target.
Whilst we enjoy a lovely Iftar this Ramadan, let's not forget our needy brothers and sisters around the world who have little or nothing at times to break their fasts with.
