Stepping it up and fundraising for our beautiful girl Fendi, who has Cerebral Palsy.
Wellington
Starting on the 1st of September, myself and Pango will be participating in an event for her amazing daughter Fendi. The Event challenges you to take 10,000 steps a day for 28 days, while raising funds for people living with cerebral palsy - a condition that affects movement in both children and adults.
Here's a wee bit about Fendi's journey.
"At 3 months old our little miss Fendi was diagnosed with a type of Cerebral Palsy called Hemeplegia.
Having undergone countless appointments and numerous nil-by mouth botox surgeries as well as 'in' and 'out'-patient rehabs and a.f.o equipment, things were definitely taking a toll on her body.
Throughout the process of botox it looked like we were doing really well, until the treatment was no longer working. As Fendi has grown older our options are getting smaller. Our next step is tendon-lengthening surgery when she is teenager. Our aim is to avoid another surgery, and the doctors have said we can help delay that process by continuing our home rehabilitation.
To help her with her motor skills, coordination, strengthening and confidence we bought her a trampoline (Rebound Therapy). Unfortunately the windy Wellington weather got the better of it and we are in need of a new one."
All proceeds for this cause will do directly to Fendi and Pango. We appreciate all your help and any donations big or small will be gratefully received.
