Fight for our “Tita Cindy”

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to support our dear colleague and friend, Cindy, who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Cindy is a valued member of the Tauranga Hospital Operating Theatre team, an experienced orthopaedic nurse, and someone who has touched so many of our lives. She is known for her kindness, her willingness to help, and her ability to listen without judgment. She has always been there for others such as supporting patients, guiding colleagues, and offering a steady, compassionate presence in even the most challenging moments. She is also our go-to person when we need some fun as she is the game master, the party starter, and someone who brings so much joy to us all. She is truly someone people love being around.

As Cindy begins her chemotherapy treatment, she will need time away from work to focus on her health and recovery. This also means facing financial challenges during an already difficult time. Being away from her home country, Cindy does not have immediate family here in New Zealand, and her circle of support relies heavily on her friends and colleagues.

We are humbly asking for any support you can give, no matter how small. Every contribution will go towards helping Cindy manage her daily living expenses while she focuses on her treatment and healing.
