    Update #3 from Mark - "Yup a much better avo this avo. Took her for a walk outside and have also been moved to our own room with a view. She is eating better now so no tube at this stage.

    And from Candice - "Hi everyone. A better day today managed to sit in a wheelchair long enough for Mark to take me for a walk outside. So nice to be out of bed and get some fresh air and sunshine. Also got moved out into our own room so no more loud phone calls to listen to. Tomorrow I'm having some visitors and get to see my boys, can't wait am missing them like crazy. Thank you all for your messages, texts and encouragement I really do appreciate it xxx"

  • Update #2 for 19th March

    Update #2 from Mark - "So we finally know what's going on. Candice has had blood clots in her leg that have made ther way up to her heart and because of the hole in her heart they have gone up to her brain and this is what caused the stroke. They are starting her on blood thinning treatment to help get rid of the clots so no more get sent to her brain or any other organs. The bad news is she has bad swelling in the brain and the blood thinning treatment can cause bleeding so they have to monitor the brain closely. So first step is to get rid of clots. Then fix the heart as well as monitor the brain for swelling."

  • Update for 19th March

    Update from Mark - "Thank you so much everyone for your generosity in these hard times. No progress yet, she is in getting another ct scan of her heart to make sure that it's the problem. She got more sleep last night so has a little more energy for things today. She is struggling to eat enough food needed because of feeling sick all the time. If she cant get any more food down in the next 24hrs they are going to put a tube into her stomach to get food into her. Fingers crossed she can eat more."
