An update on Hailey's journey!

After a couple of days of meetings with the specialist team, it has been decided that Hailey will come off the clinical trial she has been on and we will be starting a new treatment plan. This is because Hailey is not in remission and the last consolidation phase didn't change the leukaemia result at all. She is still sitting at 1.7% which doesn't seem much but it is in terms of kicking it's butt. Her new treatment plan consists of approx 8 weeks of intense chemo, radiation then a bone marrow transplant. Both Tyla & Riley were tested and Tyla is a match which is good as there is more chance of success with sibling donation. Time frame we are possibly looking at to be in CHCH before Hailey can be home again is approx 5 months (if all goes well). While this is not the results we were hoping for we are looking at it as a step sideways to be able to move forward. Hailey is taking it well as always and the family thank you all for your continued Love and Support.
